|
| The
Decision Support System functions as the analytical component
of the project's data management system. The system generates
annual project boundaries, recommendations regarding treatments
and delimiting grids, treatment and overall project evaluation. |

Discussion Forums are a PHP/MySql based forums system used
for communication between the project coordinators and state
cooperators. The forums system has a public set of forums
that the general public can access for project or general
gypsy moth inquires. |

Map Server is an ESRI ARC/IMS based map server. The system
allows users to view near-real time trapping information.
The system is updated three time daily and provides view of
all key project spatial data. |

United States Department of Agriculture - Forest Service is
the primary funding agency for the National Slow the Spread
of the Gypsy Moth Project. |

Animal and Plant Health inspection Service (APHIS) is responsible
for protecting and promoting U.S. agricultural health, administering
the Animal Welfare Act, and carrying out wildlife damage management
activities. APHIS is the primary funding agency of the Slow
the Spread regulatory program. |

Service is USDA's in-house research agency. The Slow the Spread
